How the soulmate test works
The lunar cycle moves through eight slots: New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter, and Waning Crescent. The full cycle takes about 29.5 days, so each slot lasts roughly 3.7 days. We calculate the phase on each birth date, then compare the two slots on the wheel. Opposite phases (illumination sums to a full disc) are the 'soulmate' match. Same phase is 'twin mirror.' Adjacent is 'complementary.' Everything else is a 'contrast pair.'

Is the moon phase soulmate test accurate?
The astronomy is real — the phase calculation uses standard ephemeris math and is accurate to under a tenth of a degree. The verdicts, however, are trend language from a 2023 TikTok trend, not a scientifically validated measure of relationship compatibility. There is no peer-reviewed evidence that the Moon's phase at birth shapes adult relationships. Read your result as a symbolic rhythm prompt and a conversation starter — not a verdict on whether a relationship will work.

What does it mean if we have the same moon phase?
In the TikTok framing, sharing the same phase is 'twin-flame mirroring' — similar emotional rhythm and instincts about timing. It doesn't prove spiritual status or relationship fate. Same-phase pairs do best when they consciously alternate roles instead of always agreeing.
What does it mean if we have opposite moon phases?
Opposite phases (New + Full, First Quarter + Last Quarter, etc.) are the 'soulmate' match in the trend — your illuminated portions combine to a full disc. Symbolically it suggests complementary rhythms. It's a popular signal but not a guarantee of relationship success.
Does birth time flip the results?
