Često postavljana pitanja

Many people report more energy, confidence, and openness as estrogen rises after menstruation. This is a perceived experience, not a guaranteed outcome. Some people feel the same all month, or feel best in a different phase.

It varies more than any other phase. In a typical 28-day cycle, it lasts roughly 7 to 10 days after bleeding, but if you count from day one of the period, it can last 10 to 22 days or more. The follicular phase absorbs most of the variation in cycle length.

If you notice more energy and focus, many people prefer to start new projects, schedule meetings, learn new skills, or have difficult conversations. The key is to base this on your own pattern, not a fixed rule.

Perceived energy and mood shifts are commonly reported, and some studies link rising estrogen to motivation and social interest. But objective performance differences across the cycle are small and mixed, especially for strength, endurance, and cognition.

Hormonal contraception can suppress or change natural phase patterns. You may still notice mood and energy, but the standard follicular phase framework may not apply.

The follicular phase is the first half, leading up to ovulation. The luteal phase is the second half, after ovulation. Many people feel more outward in the follicular phase and more inward in the luteal phase, though again, individual experience varies.
